The Department offers free tutoring for many
1000-and2000-level courses. Students may visit the tutoring center as
often as they wish, and no appointments are necessary.
Each year the Department awards students for their
accomplishments, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Many
awards and scholarships are named in honor or memory of those who have shaped
our Department into the thriving entity that it is today. Click here to see the names of

Math Trails gives the opportunity for students from
local schools to spend the day that The
The State RegentsÕ Summer Academies is also held here
each year. The students are resident on campus for a week. Under
the leadership of UCO faculty, one residence and recreation director (who lives
in the dormitory), and a variety of invited guests, students are involved with
problem-solving activities. While here, the students become involved with
constructing a plan for an eventual college experience, and with a serious
reflection on the possibilities of related careers.
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics
invites applications for a tenure-track position in pure or applied mathematics
starting August 2008. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in mathematics.
University teaching experience is desired. Professional experience in applied
mathematics will also be viewed favorably.
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics
continually seeks qualified individuals to teach mathematics, mathematics
education, and/or statistics in a culturally diverse, student-oriented
environment. Day and evening classes are available. Applicants should possess a
master's degree or doctorate in an area compatible with the teaching needs of
the Department. Previous secondary
or university teaching experience desired.
